Getting started as a pupil

• Introductory week
  You’ll start your apprenticeship with an introductory week and even before that, you’ll get to know the other apprentices and dual study students at our trainee barbecue.
• Ravensburger mentor
  At the start, your personal Ravensburger mentor will always be by your side.
• “Break & Learn” sessions.
  You’ll benefit from a wide range of training and development opportunities, such as our annual team training for all apprentices and dual students, rhetoric and presentation workshops, and many learning sessions to get to know Ravensburger’s departments in depth.
• 30 days of paid holiday
  With a 35-hour work week and 30 days of annual leave per year, you can easily balance your apprenticeship with your personal life.
• Financial support
  During your apprenticeship, we support you with the costs that arise and, among other things, cover your travel expenses to vocational school if it is not located in Ravensburg.
• Training and development opportunities
  We also offer a variety of training and development opportunities, including the annual team training with all apprentices and dual students, rhetoric and presentation seminars, and many learning sessions to gain deeper insights into the different departments at Ravensburger.
• Wide variety of departments
  During your apprenticeship, you will meet many other apprentices and dual students, as well as gain insights into a wide variety of departments and meet many different people. Our goal is to give you a view of the bigger picture, which is why you’ll work in many different departments – typically changing areas every 1–3 months.
• Ravensburger Junior Company
  In our Ravensburger Junior Company, you’ll spend one afternoon per week working together with all apprentices and dual students. You’ll learn how to think and act entrepreneurially by running a real practice company and selling real products to real customers.

• Employment after your studies
  After successfully completing your apprenticeship, we will offer you employment for at least six months.

If you have submitted your application via our online form, you have already completed the first important step. From here on, we take over.

We will carefully review your application. If it convinces us, we will invite you to an initial online interview. In this conversation, we would like to get to know you better as a person.

There’s no need to worry, as the focus is primarily on you and your personality. The best approach is simply to be yourself that’s exactly how we want to meet you. Depending on the apprenticeship, a trial workday may follow.

Here too, you can stay completely relaxed. You won’t be given any tasks that you can’t handle. Instead, the goal is for you to realistically experience what your daily work could look like, while also allowing us to get to know you better. If everything is a good fit in the end,

we will contact you by phone with an offer for an apprenticeship position. And if you are still excited about becoming part of Ravensburger, you will start your training with us in the coming year.

  During your studies, we support you with various costs, including a stay abroad, study materials such as books, and the trainer aptitude certificate (AEVO).

  We also offer a variety of training and development opportunities, including the annual team training with all apprentices and dual students, rhetoric and presentation seminars, and many learning sessions to get to know the different departments at Ravensburger more closely.
• Wide variety of departments
  “During your studies, you will meet many other apprentices and dual students, as well as gain insights into a wide variety of departments and meet many different people. We prepare you specifically for the requirements of the international job market and give you the chance to contribute to exciting projects. You will rotate through many departments – typically changing areas every 1–3 months – and will also work for a period at one of our international subsidiaries abroad.
• Practical and theoretical phases
  Throughout your three-year dual study programme, you will alternate regularly between practical phases with us and theoretical phases at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW)
• Ravensburger Junior Company
  In our Ravensburger Junior Company, you meet once a week with all apprentices and dual students. In your own real training company, you sell real products to real customers and learn to work independently and with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Employment after your studies
  Upon successful completion of your studies, we will employ you for at least six months.
