Working in Production, Engineering and Logistics departments

Complex production and logistics processes require careful planning to ensure everything runs smoothly. Together with your colleagues, you keep an overview of the entire value chain – from raw material suppliers and capacity utilisation in production to the scheduling of manufacturing orders, finished goods warehousing and delivery processes. The decisions you make are what ultimately enable the production and delivery of our products.

A Ravensburger puzzle is created from A to Z in Ravensburg. We combine paper and cardboard, print the designs in our own print shop, cut and punch the pieces, and finally assemble the puzzle in its distinctive Ravensburger box. All punching tools are handcrafted in‑house. This results in a wide range of different roles, some of which can be learned through short‑ or medium‑term training, others through a recognised vocational apprenticeship. You work with passion on various machines or within production processes and directly contribute to the unmistakable quality of Ravensburger products. Sounds exciting, doesn’t it?

Our logistics operations are a diverse environment where both large pallets and small parcels for end consumers are handled. Everything is included: high‑bay warehouses, conveyor systems, pick‑and‑pack processes for specialist retailers, individual orders for personalised products at packing stations for end consumers, shipping and loading areas, and much more. During the peak season from August to December, things really get busy – all to ensure our products arrive on time under the Christmas tree. Whether planning, coordination, execution or control tasks: in logistics, you keep an eye on the paths our products take through the warehouse halls.

Whenever technical issues arise in our facilities, you are on site to resolve them. As a versatile all‑rounder, you either find a solution yourself or collaborate with experts. You enjoy troubleshooting and don’t give up until everything runs smoothly again. Ideally, disruptions don’t occur in the first place – which is why you ensure careful maintenance and servicing of our equipment, buildings and production technology.

Our product developers, editors and designers create new game ideas that must also be technically feasible. This is where you and your colleagues come in. With your professional training in printing and paper processing – for example as a packaging technologist, printer or bookbinder – and your in‑depth knowledge of materials and production methods, you assess concepts for technical feasibility and advise our innovation and product development teams. In addition, you test and evaluate new materials and approve them for use.

In technical, operational or strategic purchasing, you are responsible for sourcing everything we need to produce and work at Ravensburger – including machines and equipment. You manage key suppliers and negotiate prices and delivery terms.

The quality of our products and the trust our customers place in our high standards are top priorities for us as a community. Together with colleagues at other locations, you provide input already during the product development phase. Throughout the ongoing production process, you inspect and monitor product quality, define toy safety requirements and coordinate with external testing laboratories.
