Editorial Traineeship

Do you want to get to know the publishing industry and are you considering a long-term career in editorial work? Learning on the job is the ideal approach in this case.

Because with us, you’ll get to explore every facet of our playful editorial world, contribute to exciting and challenging projects and tasks, and enjoy plenty of fun and a warm, welcoming atmosphere along the way. As part of this program, you will have the opportunity to develop professionally through seminars and workshops, build strong connections, and grow significantly—both professionally and personally—as part of an exceptional team over the course of the 18 months. This way, you will be optimally prepared for a future role in editorial work.

- We will welcome you into our team right away and train you on the job within our editorial department.
- You take ownership of exciting projects and enjoy actively contributing your own ideas.
- On your personal learning and networking journey at Ravensburger, you will be supported through part-time seminars, inspiring workshops, diverse networking opportunities, mentoring, and regular reflection sessions.
- You can also take part in our ‘Lunch & Learn’ sessions, where we regularly present topics from our industry, explore trends such as mindfulness or sustainability, and offer insights into the work of other departments.
- In regular feedback sessions, we will review your progress so far and discuss the next steps with you.
- Our experienced editors will teach you everything you need to know to become a successful editor in the future.
- We will welcome you into our team right away and train you on the job within our editorial department.
- You should have completed a university degree (e.g., in the humanities, book studies, education, or graphic and communication design).
- Ideally, you have already gained some initial insight into the publishing industry through internships.
- Business considerations also play an important role in editorial work, so ideally you already have an interest in this area.
- We are an open, motivated team that works with all their heart every single day. We would love for you to share this same passion.
- You are proficient in using standard MS Office programs as a matter of course.
- As we are an international company, you can stand out by having very strong English language skills.

Trainee Program

Apply your knowledge, grow with every challenge, and prepare yourself for a role with real responsibility. Are you ready to grow beyond yourself and begin a learning journey that truly shapes you?

- You begin on the job in your future role and gain insights into other areas of the company along the way.
- You are involved in major strategic projects and entrusted with your own projects, which you manage independently and responsibly alongside your other tasks.

- You have successfully completed your university degree with strong academic results.
